LFC Campaign– “Contest” (“Promotion”) Terms and Conditions

  1. The Organiser

    The Organiser of the contest is Carlsberg Marketing Sdn Bhd [198501008089(140534-M)].

  2. Promotion Period

    The Contest period is from 1 August 2022 (12.01am Malaysian Time) and will close on 30 September 2022 (11.59pm Malaysian Time).

  3. Eligibility

    This Contest is open to all non-Muslims aged 21 years or above who are residents in Malaysia. All Participants are subject to the criteria set out below, the Carlsberg Standard Terms and Conditions, the terms and conditions herein, terms and policies of the relevant e-commerce platform and the relevant laws of Malaysia.

    Employees of the Organizer, its associate agencies, affiliates, distributors, dealers, sponsors, advertising and promotional agencies, and members of their immediate families are not eligible to participate in this promotion.

  4. How to participate in the Contest

    Step 1: Purchase any of the participating Carlsberg products worth of RM20 and above in a single receipt from participating chains during the Contest Period.

    Participating Chains:

    1. Emart
    2. Happy Mart
    3. KK Mart
    4. MyNews
    5. Orange Mart
    6. 7-Eleven outlets in Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah & Sarawak, excluding Langkawi
    7. Convenient store chains with the presence of point of sales material

      (collectively referred to as “Participating Chains”)

    Participating Carlsberg Products:

    1. Carlsberg Danish Pilsner
    2. Carlsberg Smooth Draught
    3. Carlsberg Special Brew

      (collectively referred to as “Participating Carlsberg Products”)

      Step 2: Scan the QR code as printed on (i) the Promotion in-store Point of Sale materials, or (ii) log on to https://carlsbergfootball.com/cvs

      1. Fill in your full name (as per your Malaysian identification card (“IC”) or passport), IC number or passport number, mobile number, receipt number and submit a photo of the proof of purchase receipt (“Proof of Purchase”) (must be clear and readable) in the microsite for verification purposes.
      2. The Organizer will send out acknowledgment report to successful entry only (“Qualified Entries”) through short messaging services (SMS) or instant messaging app “WhatsApp”.

    1. Only 1 proof of purchase per entry for the redemption. Participant(s) may submit more than one (1) entry however each Participant is only allowed to Win a maximum of six (6) set of Carlsberg LFC Legends Cans (6 cans) throughout the Contest Period.
    2. For redemption purpose, only original copy of the proof of purchase showing the purchase made between 1 August 2022 to 30 September 2022 is accepted as Proof of Purchase. Any damage or torn; duplicate or photocopied Proof of Purchase will be automatically disqualified.
    3. Participants are required to safe keep the original Proof of Purchase for verification purposes, failing which, the Organiser shall forfeit the Prize.
    4. The Organizer shall be entitled to request the original Identity Card or the originals of other supporting documents/materials for verification purposes
    5. The Organizer reserves the right to disqualify and remove any Participant from the contest without prior notification or disclosure of information should the Participant be suspected of tampering with their entries or breach the contest terms and conditions.
  5. Winners, Prizes, and Terms and Conditions of Prizes
    1. There is a total of 800 set of Carlsberg LFC Legends Cans to be won throughout the contest period.
      Purchase criteria Prize Allocation
      Contest Prize Purchase minimum RM20 of participating brands 6 Carlsberg LFC Legends Cans 800 (100 prizes weekly)

      1. Week 1: 1st Aug 2022 to 7th Aug 2022
      2. Week 2: 8th Aug 2022 to 14th Aug 2022
      3. Week 3: 15th Aug 2022 to 21st Aug 2022
      4. Week 4: 22nd Aug 2022 to 28th Aug 2022
      5. Week 5: 29th Aug 2022 to 4th Sept 2022
      6. Week 6: 5th Sept 2022 to 11th Sept 2022
      7. Week 7: 12th Sept 2022 to 18th Sept 2022
      8. Week 8: 19th Sept 2022 to 30th Sept 2022
    2. All submissions are on a first-come-first-served basis.
    3. The Organiser reserves the right to substitute the Prize(s) with a Prize of similar value, with or without notice. All prizes are non-refundable, not transferrable or non-exchangeable or convertible to cash or any other items. Prizes not redeemed within the notified period will be forfeited with no further substitution and/or replacement.
    4. Qualified participant will receive the Contest Prize within 21 working days from the date of notification from Organizer after successful verified by the Organizer. Organizer shall not be responsible for any delays, loss or damages by the service provider. Any additional costs (i.e. not limited to travel expenses and applicable taxes) involved to redeem or collect the Prize(s) are to be borne solely by the winner.
    5. The Organiser reserves the right to not award any and/or all Prize(s) on the basis that there are insufficient Qualified Entries. The Organiser is entitled to only award the Prize(s) to the Qualified Entries and forfeit the remaining Prize(s).

    Mechanics on Selection of Contest Prize Winners

    1. As part of the contest Prize winners’ selection process, ALL Qualified Entries are collected and processed by the Organizer on the promotion week and will be allocated a set of serial numbers starting from serial number “1”.
    2. The serial numbers allocated to each Qualified Entry will be tabulated and added up to derive the total number of Qualified Entries (“Total Qualified Entries”) of each participating week. Assuming that the Total Qualified Entries is 5,000, the Organizer will compute and select based on the following:

      Contest Prize Winner Selection

      The Organizer will select one hundred (100 winners (“Winners”) at random from the entries submitted during the Weekly Contest Period. Eligible entries will be judged in accordance to these Terms and Conditions. Randomly selected using a random number generator website. The 1st to 100th number from number generator will be Contest Prize winner. Selected Winners will be awarded subject to the Winners’ answer to the Organizer’s question

      1. The Organiser reserves the right to not award any and/or all Prizes on the basis that there are insufficient Qualified Entries. The Organiser is entitled to only award the Prize(s) to the Qualified Entries and forfeit the remaining Prizes.
      2. Once redeemed, the Proof of Purchase is no longer valid for any other on-going promotion. The Organiser reserves the rights to disqualify the Participants’ submission for redemption of other gifts or in any other on-going Contest/Promotion with the same Proof of Purchase.

  6. Notification of Winners and Redemption of Prizes
    1. Winners will be notified via the instant messaging app ‘WhatsApp’. The winners must ensure that the data details provided to the Organiser are true, accurate, current and complete. Winners will be informed of their win as well as the verification and mode of fulfilment of the Prizes.
    2. Winners will be notified within 30 working days from the end of the Promotion Period.
    3. The winners must respond within three (3) days from the time when the Organiser sent the notification via WhatsApp. If the winner fails to respond within three (3) days, the Organiser reserves the right to substitute the winner with a subsequent name on the list.
    4. In the event that the Organizer finds the presented Proof of Purchase is not authentic or invalid then the Organizer shall be entitled to forfeit the Prize without assigning any reasons whatsoever.
    5. The Organiser shall reserve the right to award the Prize to an alternative Participant at its sole discretion at any time.
    6. The Organizer’s decision on all matters relating to this Promotion shall be final, conclusive and binding. No further appeal or correspondence will be entertained.
    7. No substitution or transfer of Prize(s) by the Winner is permitted. The Organizer shall not be liable for any additional or incidental costs, taxes, expenses, charges, fees, losses or damage that may arise. The Organizer and its agents and employees shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential losses) or personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with or arising from the Prize(s).

  7. Privacy Policy

    By participating, the Participant explicitly consents that the Organizer shall store the necessary personal data of the Participant. The Participant is free to revoke his or her consent to the storage of data by sending an email to the Organizer and by doing so, the Participant is withdrawing his or her participation in this Promotion. The Organizer will use its best endeavors to keep all personal data stored for the purpose of this Promotion strictly confidential.

  8. Additional Terms
    1. The Promotion Terms and the Carlsberg’s Standard Terms and Conditions (collectively “Terms and Conditions”) shall be binding on all Participants who participate in this Promotion. The definitions in the Carlsberg Standard Terms and Conditions shall apply unless otherwise expressly stated in the Promotion Terms. In the event of any discrepancies between these terms and conditions and any advertising, Promotion, publicity and other materials relating to or in connection with this Promotion, the final terms and conditions on Carlsberg’s website shall prevail.
    2. Each Participant agrees that he/she has read and understood these Terms and Conditions and by participating in the Contest, each participant will be deemed to have read, understood and agreed to the Terms and Conditions.
    3. The Organiser is also not responsible for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay, failure in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction, unauthorized access to, or alteration of, user or member communications, or any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, the website, computer online systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, system, apparatus, software, failure of e-mail or receipt of entry on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the internet and/or telecommunication services.
    4. The Organiser reserves the right to amend the Terms and Conditions without prior notice.
